Our members have access to our Chartered Tax Advice Service, provided by a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, advising individuals and businesses on UK taxation. Co-ordinating this expertise with the investment and financial planning skills of the rest of the Build Your Wealth team ensures our members minimise their personal and corporate tax liabilities.

With some of the tax planning undertaken by our clients, it is important that self-assessment tax returns are completed correctly and promptly. We will often submit the tax return for PAYE members on their behalf. Many of our members receive tax repayments annually and it is important to the wealth building process these refunds are received as early as possible. Where possible tax returns are filed on-line, which speeds up the repayment process by anything from six to twelve weeks.

Prior to tax return completion, the Build Your Wealth team thoroughly review the member’s tax situation, discussing ways of mitigating or deferring taxes - usually before any tax has to be paid. Where there is insufficient time to do this, we look to reclaim tax from earlier years through loss planning.

It is our view that many forms of taxation are largely voluntary in that, depending on capital available to invest, most liabilities can be avoided or at worst deferred until a number of years forward. Combining tax and investment expertise means Build Your Wealth can confidently advise members on how to mitigate tax and accumulate wealth faster.  

We are pro-active in terms of giving tax advice. Our accountancy partners understand this and are happy to refer clients to us who need help in this area. The client’s remain clients of the accountant concerned but, by using Build Your Wealth as an additional resource, the overall level of service the client receives is enhanced. We also work with accountancy practices specialising in areas other than tax. We do not offer accountancy or book keeping services.
